“Ghosts Embrace Too” stems from a metaphor akin to building a house on the sea—an act that seems impossible, yet reflects the struggle to establish a solid foundation in a liquid society. There is both a personal quest and a quiet satisfaction in giving tangible form to the emotions we carry each day. It’s a play of tensions between what is present but unseen, between the abstract and the figurative.

In this work, I’m especially concerned with creating imbalance through composition, repetition, diptychs or triptychs, and movement—to evoke the sensation of a controlled fall, a personal way of flying.
